I also think of Ramona Quimby, and can quote her at will. That's not weird, right? Anyway, I am *still* working on my own version of those socks, and can't wait to be done. Yours are gorgeous! Of course, it makes me think of Ramona Quimby (Age 8!), which is a little weird. And I totally agree on the sock pattern. It is, hands down, my favorite, and I have every intention of making many more pairs. I will have an army of shell-patterned socks! Ramona Bananapants is the perfect name, indeed. Mmm, semi-solid Koigu, how I love thee. (Or it, indeed). My prophylactic approach to SSS is to knit both at once: not in a clever two-on-the-needles style, just to have both going on a set of dpns each at the same time, knitting a few rounds from this, a few from that. Just before you get to the the heel it can feel like they're taking *ages*, but then, suddenly, you have a pair of socks! Magic. Great socks! Mmm, semi-solid Koigu, how I love thee. (Or it, indeed).
