I dashed to the fabric store and bought those patterns and whipped up an outfit for my daughter. Thanks for the inspiration to return to sewing. I was taught to do the elastic the same as another commenter said to - using a safety pin. I love this outfit! Well done, Pam! Glad you had time to go visit. You do know that making her clothes that cute will make you the go-to aunt when she needs a special dress? The custom bias tape really sets it apart. And terrific job as an auntie too. Don't you just love having a special baby use you as their comfy napping spot? Lovely job on the outfit. Webs just got a giant Jaeger closeout and I've been stashing all this Matchmaker 4-Ply and asking myself, "is it weird to knit for my non-existent children? How weird?" I only know two babies, hmph. I guess I'll just start stockpiling it. Auuuuuuuuuuughhhh, the cuteness! She is so wee!

Like my biological clock needed any MORE help from the likes of painfully cute babies like your niece there. Oh well, don't mind me...I 'll be playing with my substitutes -- er, dogs -- and muttering "not til you're done with school, not til you're done with school..." Seriously though. That is a very, very cute baby and an outfit that is totally worthy of her. Geez, thanks a lot Pam.
