eye candy christmas in Flint

This is the view from the first-floor window as I grade papers on the University of Michigan-Flint campus.

Behold, the legendary Citizens Bank Weatherball.
It even has its own poem:

When the weatherball is red, higher temperatures ahead
When the weatherball is blue, lower temperatures are due
Yellow light in weatherball means there’ll be no change at all
When colors blink in agitation, there’s going to be precipitation

Maybe you can’t tell in this photo, but the ball is definitely blue.
