It’s My Birthday!
To Whom it May Concern:
If you found a digital camera in the fabric section of the Courtland Center JoAnn store in Flint, Michigan, please let me know. Also, you might NOT want to look at the photos stored on the camera, as they include dozens of snapshots from the last several days on the road with my lover’s rock band.
Those photos might, for instance, feature myself and members of said rock band humping a giant stuffed Santa Claus on the dirty floor of a venue called “The Fortress of Solid Dudes.” Don’t ask.
I’d especially like to have my camera today, since it’s my 29th birthday, and I want to take pictures of the celebration tonight. And I have a finished Baby Surprise Jacket and another ’surprise’ finished craft project that I’d like to share with my online friends. (Yes, my online friends — who are kind enough to judge me by my crafty deeds, and not by any embarrassing photos they might find on my digital camera… including those that may involve toilets, Red Bull, and/or horse drawn carriages. Don’t ask.)
So, yeah. Please return the camera. It’s my birthday, after all.
xo, Pam

This is the funniest birthday post I’ve ever seen. Sad. But funny as hell! The Santa story rocks, and if that’s the tamer one that you’re willing to share with the world, I can only imagine what happened on/in/near the horse drawn carriage! Yowzers.
(fingers crossed for the camera)
Happy Birthday!!

June 3rd, 2007 at 4:43 pm
Oh no!
But you know, I might actually have judged you according to the photos. By the sounds of it, I would have judged that you gals seem like my kind of crazy people and fun hang out with.
Happy B-day.

Happy birthday! Sending you Chaotic Lucky Camera Homing Thoughts(tm)!
June 3rd, 2007 at 4:58 pm
Dear Pam,
How I wish I found your camera. Partly because, of course, I’d like to return it to its rightful owner. But also, I admit, because I could use some good photos for my blog right now, and I think you might have some for me.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAM!! You know I like to celebrate a birthday, and today, I am celebrating yours! The loss of a camera is truly craptacular…particularly when there are choice shots like the ones described here. I hope this camera turns up, the Fortress of Solid Dudes? My interest is so piqued.
June 4th, 2007 at 1:26 am
OMG those photos sound hilarious! Too bad about your camera though, and what a time for it to happen! You seem to be in good spirits anyway. Happy birthday Pam!

Happy Birthday, Pam! Hope you find that camera.
June 4th, 2007 at 1:32 pm
Happy belated birthday!
Losing your camera sucks. I lost mine last year and was lost without it. Though the pictures in mine when it was lost weren’t anywhere near as good as yours…
June 4th, 2007 at 1:51 pm
I think we all have some “don’t ask” photos hidden in a closet somewhere, wishing they’d be lost. But it’s a bummer when there still in the camera and lost. Good luck!
Happy Birthday - late. Hope you made some new “don’t ask” memories!
June 4th, 2007 at 2:26 pm

First of all: Happy Birthday!!!!
Second: The camera situation sucks, I hope it gets turned in, or I hope the camera-keeper has some extremely bad camera-something-or-other coming to them.
June 4th, 2007 at 5:33 pm
Nightmare! I hope you had a good birthday, regardless…
June 4th, 2007 at 6:49 pm
Happy birthday and good luck with the camera! Hopefully, it’s just wandering around taking pictures of fabric that you need to buy.
June 4th, 2007 at 7:02 pm
Happy Birthday!!
Hopefully whoever found your camera got a good laugh and will also find a way to get it back to you. Because Santa-humping is really something that should be saved for posterity.

Wow, a lost camera is the lamest birthday present ever. If you need a loaner I’ll send you my little point-and-shoot when I’m back in MI.
June 5th, 2007 at 5:02 am
Happy Birthday, Pam! So sorry about your camera! I hope it is returned to you. Best wishes for a wonderful year!
June 6th, 2007 at 1:18 am
Happy Birthday! (a couple days late. Sorry I’m barely online these days). I hope by now you found your camera!
June 6th, 2007 at 9:19 am
happy birfday! You can now join my lost camera club. I have lost two very expensive cameras. One when drunk and after making out with a super hot (straight!) male hairstylist, and the second in Hawaii, with gorgeous vacation photos lost forever. I still ache over those lost photos, more so than for the lost cameras. I hope it comes back to you.
June 6th, 2007 at 3:01 pm
Happy belated. Hope you found the camera, or at least got a new one for your birthday.
June 6th, 2007 at 5:34 pm

Okay, I am a totally lame blog friend… I missed your bday! Sorry Pamela! I hope there was a bright shiny part of it despite the stolen camera bit. Ack! (but the humping pictures sound f-ing hilarious)
