summer contest wrap-up
It was a busy first week of teaching, but now I’m free until Monday. Woo hoo!
I’m hoping to get some serious work done on the chunky sweater/jacket thingamabob. I’m using Rowanspun Chunky in the color Fern. Looks more like moss to me.
And I’ve finally visited all the great links you all sent for the summer catch-up contest — thank you! I still feel like I missed a whole summer’s worth of crafty bloggy action, but I got a lot out of the highlights.
Go here to see all the links. Or, for the highlights of the highlights, read on for a few of my very favorites:

Thanks for the list. There are so many amazing blogs out there that I don’t get time to read. It was so nice to see the highlights. Moonstitches Hexagon Blanket, Christy’s Stag Bag and Kelly’s socks have all been highlights for me this summer too.
I love the mossy color of that tweed. I’m looking forward to watching the project grow.

all the great links - I missed some of those too!!!!
Love the Rowanspun. One of my favorite colors of the yarn. Too bad it’s discontinued!

Wow. That’s funny, I just bought some Berroco Ultra Alpaca Light in fern. (Maybe it is just funny because I am tired)
Those Ironworks socks just blew my mind. I need a nap just looking at them!
Oh, and I tagged you.

Oh, you are knitting “the” sweater. I don’t have any chunky yarn in the stash, none…I am not sure why. But I want that sweater…must find some chunky yarn… Thanks for the highlights, a good list, truly.
