Philadelphia, Rock City
The unofficial Summer of Rock Shows and Knitblogger Meetups begins tomorrow. The knitblogger part of the tour might be a disaster — mostly because it won’t be until the last minute that I know details like when we’ll be arriving in a city, or leaving it, or whether there will be any time for knitty meetups and fun.
Then again, all that time on the road means lots of knitting (I hope). For updated July and August tour dates, see myspace.com/emptyorchestra. It looks like we might have a free day to spend in the DC area! Woo hoo!
Attn: Philly folks! Our show at The Fire has been rescheduled for Friday, July 20. Also, I have 10 discounted tickets (at $2 each instead of $7) that I can sell to anyone who wants ‘em. If you’d like me to set one aside for you, email me!
Would it be possible to gather together a few of you zillion Philly knitbloggers for dinner on the 20th? If so, (1) who’s in? and (2) got any suggestions for veg-friendly restaurants close to The Fire?
(Sadly, this means that the Bridgewater, NJ show was canceled. But we’ll meet another time, Kristy!!)
Oh, and lest you think it’s been all rock and no yarn, look what I just started for the second time. I’m using fatter yarn and fatter needles, so let’s hope this one fits.

I’m definitely in. I’m going to try my hardest to be there and to hang out. And I’ll think really hard about veg friendly food!

Ohh, I MIGHT be able to make that show! I need to check my work schedule, but if I don’t have to work late, you can count me in!

ack! your niece is SO cute!!
keep me posed on the 20th — i would love to come! (maybe i will finally get those patterns promised to you in person! i CANNOT get myself to a p.o. these days!) i have a veggie friend, so i will ask her about restaurants, too.
i dont really know any philly knitters besides from work, so a meet-up would be fun fun fun. (i also think we look a lot alike..it may just be the hair and glasses, though)

Oh, darn. We’ll have to meet up next time!
Have you ever been to Happy Cow? They have pretty good listings of veg restaurants.

dude–new york? next saturday? wanted to let you know that i have eschewed plans with my favorite aunt and my mom and some other random family (ok, ok, i don’t want to go to a broadway show anyway) on saturday b/c “I have plans to see Pam!” And I know full well that the plan is to meet up at some random time with little advance notice, but it does not matter, because I’m so excited to see you!
so you know my number and can just call me whenever next week
Good luck with the kickoff of the tour!

Oh boy! That baby is the most precious thing I have seen in quite a while! My youngest baby is 3, and not so baby-like anymore.
I LOVE that you are such an awesome sew-er (not sewer like where gross water goes, but sew-er?…seamstress?) You rock!

That last post has some of the cutest baby stuff ever!!!
Your new sock looks great. I love the colorway.
I wish I could be in Philly for your meet up! Maybe you’ll rock out in Atlanta someday! If you do & need a place to crash….
